ConSLABulations to us!

Well looky here, a slab. And no, not just any expensive, well-formed piece of concrete that probably cost more than my car. This is the foundation to our home, Our Casuarina.

This is where memories will be made. We’ll experience joy, and sadness. We’ll expand our brood with kids and pets. Friends and family will visit, and for them, I want this to feel like home as well. We will dream, we will cry, we will live, and we will grow. Right now it just looks like concrete, but for us it symbolises so much more.

It's easy to get sentimental about concrete, especially when it's your own.

So here it is

  1. Those pots may be concrete test samples, they take them to a lab and do crush tests to them to verify that the concrete poured meets the required standards

  2. Aaah, thanks Bryan :) I was quite intrigued by them and their little tags. I did think they may have had something to do with setting time, but your theory sounds much more plausible. I'm glad that they carry out tests to verify that the slab meets required standards.
